Active in and around Jávea
Jávea is the ideal destination for anyone who loves being active. In summer, life revolves around the water. Explore the beautiful coves on a kayak or SUP tour, discover the underwater world while diving or snorkelling, take a day trip on a catamaran or hire a boat yourself to admire the coast from the sea.
There's plenty to do outside the high season too. Golf lovers can enjoy fine courses in and around Jávea, Dénia, Benissa and Calpe. For a game of padel or tennis, there are several excellent clubs nearby.
Walkers can indulge themselves along the striking coastline, through nature reserves or in the green hinterland. There are routes for every level, from a relaxed stroll to a challenging mountain hike. This region is also a favourite among cyclists, thanks to its varied roads, beautiful views and pleasant climate.
Fancy a day out? A ferry to Ibiza departs daily from Dénia. Within a few hours you'll be, with or without your car, right in the lively harbour of Ibiza Town.
Practical
You'll find pharmacies in the centre, by the harbour and at the Arenal; there's always a duty pharmacy (farmacia de guardia) open. The Centro de Salud handles emergencies.
